Check Your Tractor

📍 Find this on the hood or side panel of your tractor

📍 Find this on the metal plate on the frame (see locations below)

Where to Find Your Serial Number

🚜 BX Series

Location: Right-hand front frame rail, above or near the front axle

Look for a metal plate or sticker with stamped numbers on the right side of the tractor frame. May also be stamped directly into the frame.

🚜 B Series

Location: Right-hand side of the front axle or frame area

Serial plate typically mounted on the right front frame near the axle. Check both the plate and frame stamping.

🚜 L Series

Location: Left-hand side of the front axle OR frame under operator’s seat

Check left front axle area first, or look on transmission case side under the seat. Varies by model.

⚠️ Important: Engine Serial vs Tractor Serial

Your engine serial number is stamped on the engine block and is DIFFERENT from your tractor serial. For recalls and registration, always use the TRACTOR serial number from the frame plate, not the engine serial.

Common Serial Number Mistakes

❌ Engine vs Tractor Serial

Engine serial is on the engine block. Tractor serial is on the FRAME plate. Use the frame serial for recalls.

❌ Reading Wrong Characters

Confusing 0 (zero) with O or 1 with I is common. Double-check the plate carefully in good light.

❌ Model Year Confusion

Kubota tractors don’t have “model years” like cars. Your tractor’s year is when it was sold, not built.

❌ Wrong Plate Location

Some read numbers from implement tags or ROPS labels. Use the main FRAME serial plate only.

❌ Serial Decoding Alone

You can’t determine exact model from serial alone. Check the model sticker on your hood too.
